Naturalization workshop - February 2019

In partnership with the New American Workforce, Detroit New Americans Campaign, and the Michigan Immigration and Labor Law Association (MILLA) at the University of Michigan Law School, the Michigan Immigrants Rights Center (MIRC) is pleased to offer
(1) a presentation on naturalization AND
(2) a naturalization workshop
for permanent residents interested in becoming citizens.

The presentation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the LSA Dean’s Conference Room (2001). This presentation is intended to provide a general overview of important considerations in the naturalization process and is aimed at people who want to learn more about becoming a U.S. citizen. The presenter is a licensed attorney who has helped nearly 1,000 people become citizens. No advance registration is necessary for the presentation.

The workshop will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the University of Michigan Law School. During this workshop, attorneys, accredited representatives, and law students will be available to prepare and review naturalization applications for FREE!

Permanent residents who are interested in attending the application workshop to apply for naturalization MUST register at the link below in advance.

During the workshop, there will be two appointment types: regular and fast. Regular appointments are expected to take 90 minutes. Fast appointments should take less than 45 minutes. To get in the fast lane, the applicant must register with CitizenshipWorks in advance and complete 90% or more of the questions. All applicants must register below, first.
