MIRC staff take active leadership roles in regional, statewide and national coalitions and organizations including the Michigan Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (MCIRR), Protecting Immigrant Families Michigan (PIF MI), Drive Michigan Forward, Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Kalamazoo (TRHT Kzoo), The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) - Michigan Chapter , Michigan Coalition for Undocumented Student Sucess (MiCuss), Detroit Immigration Task Force, Welcoming Oakland County, Southeast Michigan Regional Refugee Resettlement Collaborative, Immigrant Justice Lab (IJL) at University of Michigan, Michigan Supreme Court Foreign Language Board of review, Limited English Proficiency Population Advocate, Michigan Migrant Labor Housing Advisory Board, and many other groups promoting immigrant rights and racial equity.
